The Pubs

Until 2004, East Bergholt had six pubs (further back, seven), which gave it the crown of having most pubs-per-population in the county. Of the five remaining, all provide good beer, home-cooked meals, and friendly service to boot.

The Carriers Arms, Gaston End

The first pub you will come to as you approach East Bergholt from the A12. Serves home cooked food at lunch times and evenings, and traditional lager, ales, and wine. There is a large beer garden at the rear, and car park to the side. Entertainment wise, there is a fruit machine, pool table, and dart board. Dominos and cards are also played.
