Local Traders

East Bergholt has a variety of successful and sought-after businesses within its boundaries.

Armour Engineering, Cemetery Lane

Mechanical Engineers with a wide array of skills and machinery: anything in metal, domestic and industrial (be it one-off items or production quantities), can be designed, manufactured, or repaired.

Budgens, The Street

The local ‘Post Office & Store’, taken over by Budgens in 2004, was awarded “Store of the Year” in the same year — owing to the dedication of Alec, and staff, to their customers. Most good quality brands of groceries, alcohol, and other consumables are stocked, and rural Post Office services provided.

The Gallery, The Street

Sells hand-made crafts, gifts, cards, et cetera. Guides to East Bergholt, Flatford, and surrounding areas, including walks, are also on sale.

The Gattinetts, Hadleigh Road

A small ‘Business Park’ in the village, consisting of over fifteen office and light industrial units (converted farm buildings), with an on-site kindergarten. This is the ideal place to locate, being so close to major transport routes to-and-from London, Norwich, and towns/cities further afield.

The Hair Gallery, The Street

The Pharmacy, The Street

The place to collect prescriptions, and shop around for toiletries. The larger Dedham Pharmacy is also run by Mr Kotecha.
